This is simply because that google is the largest of all search engines.

Before going over how to improve your website let us go over the basics of Search Engine Optimization and what exactly search engines are looking for in a page or blog post.

The basic tricks for making a website search engine optimized are:

  1. Optimize Images
  2. Good Solid Content
  3. Use of Alt Tags
  4. Spreading Keywords through out pages/posts

Why Should you Even Care About SEO

Today most people when they look for something they will be using some type of search engine. If your website is not optimized for these search engines to rank you; you could be missing out on new business. When people are looking at search results never look past the 3rd page. This means if your website is not search engine optimized then you are only hurting yourself.

Optimizing Images for Search Engine Optimization

One of the aspects that Google and other search engines look for when ranking a website is how fast the website loads. This is to make sure that the website is a reliable source. The biggest aspect that can slow a website down is large photos. With photos everyone worries about quality. This is important but not at the cost off your website loading slowly. The ideal size for images to be used on websites are under 500 mb. This allows for the best possible quality and still not slowing down the website to help with SEO ranking.

Use of Alt Tags in Images

Along with making sure your images are not to big adding alt tags to the image helps with SEO ranking. What are alt tag? They are basically hidden page names that only computers can read. Search engines read the alt tags that pictures have. This does not mean that you can fill the alt tags of images with key words and hope it will work. Google and other search engines actually rank websites lower or even won’t rank your site for trying to stuff keywords in a website.

Spreading Keywords through out Pages or Posts

Search engines are getting better at under standing normal speech. This means that stuffing keywords in an entire paragraph to the point that it does not make sense for a person to read. This will get your website ranked lower in search engine results or even get your site taken down from search ranks. This does not mean that you can not have more then one keyword in your body text of your post. This means that you just have to put the key words in a more natural way. So say if your main keywords are “Charlotte Search Engine Optimization”. That means you do not want to use that specific keyword to many times in the entire post or page. This does give you time to use other keywords in the rest of the content though. So instead of using “Charlotte Search Engine Optimization” you could use “Charlotte SEO” in its place.
