About Nightly E-Sports
Nightly E-Sports is an E-Sports team based out of Austin, TX. They have teams in CS:GO, Fortnite, PUBG, Overwatch, League of Legends, and Rocket League.
About the Project
Nightly E-Sports came to Inner Geek Designs looking for a logo design refresh. They needed something new and fresh to help relate to their new direction. Their new direction was a more professional role, with more teams and more of a presence in the E-Sports scene. Their original logo was based on a mascot type logo and it did not fit their current goals. They wanted something that was more professional, clean, modern, and not a mascot style logo. At the same time they did not want to completely step away from the old logo since it was so familiar to some people.

The end result of the project was taking their old logo and relating to it into a new manner. Instead of having a detailed phoenix mascot approach the logo went to a more simple design of using an abstract flame/ wing icon. The color scheme is warm to also pull from the old logo and bring some more touch points of the original logo. These elements lead to the logo being something that resembled a wing and a flame at the same time. The graphics for the socials was made to be clean and modern.
